There is Old School Skateboarding and then there is West Texas old school skateboarding. Here in Merkel Texas It is hot, everything is trying to sting, stab, scrape, kill, or bite you. Everything is fucking dead! I wanted to design a shape that represents Texas old school roots, but also make something new that has not been done. This is for all of the OGs! The Keyhole Shape!! This shape is 31.75 inches long with a wheel base of 14.9. The deck is 9.25 wide at the nose and 8.9 at the tail. Nose features an octagon geometry with a flat tail that tapers up which is perfect for tail blocks. The deck is dip stained RED! Board features a laser engraved top graphic and to finish it all off. A killer Piece (The Gatekeeper) by our favorite San Antonio artist Pete Skidmore. Board is 100% made in Texas from the best possible materials I could source. Decks are numbered 1-35. First come first serve! Come and Skate it!

Horns up Vigilantes!!!! First on the list with the 2024 lineup. Anialator "Bullet" shape. This deck is a true weapon inspired by one of the sickest thrash bands in Texas. Anialator! These guys have been thrashing since before my time and it is about time they get a board dedicated to it! Board measures 9.5" at the front truck and tapers down to 9" at the back. With about a 15" wheel base. You can rip bowls, skate vert, or just bomb down the street to the beer store. This board is tuff and an all around weapon to demolish the streets with. Each deck features a unique blood splatter top graphic with the Anialator name logo and the maker's mark which is numbered. The first 20 decks purchased will come with a CD. These are hand made in Texas with the best materials that can be sourced. This deck releases 7/7/24 at 5pm CST

2024 lineup Announcement!

UPDATE: For the last few months I have taken many risks in order to place West Texas on the map. Financial risks in order to create a proper wood shop. Risks to my body while pushing close to 90 hours a week of labor between my full time job and manufacturing decks. This wood shop I am attempting to launch is the first of it's kind in my area. There is a rich history of 80s vert skaters in Abilene, legendary shows including Agent Orange, and The Huns, The Hudsen Falcons, ANS..the list goes on. We have never had a deck manufacturer in this area, and no shops currently so why the hell not now?! Maybe I am a damn kook or maybe I am just chasing a dream. Who knows. I will tell you one thing though. I believe I have one of the best decks on the market. With that it is about time we have the best graphics as well! This release is the first of it's kind from Psyop Mfg. It is the first full deck graphic, it is the first time I have worked with a seperate artist (follow @decibalartstudio on insta). It is also the first deck that I have made where the materials used are almost 100% sourced in the US. The adhesives, the veneer, the varnish. All manufactured in the US. Very important to our goals.
NEW GRAPHIC!: There is so much to go into with this graphic. It is symbolic of Psyop Skateboard's attitude. We are a Texas company. We are Texas made and we are going to battle! What better way to convey this than the biggest symbol of resistance in Texas history? The Battle of the Alamo! This deck is not only a nod to the past but a rally cry to my customers. We have gotten this far because of YOU! Thank you, and please continue to support. West Texas is often forgotten in skateboarding. It seems like the most successful skaters come from big cities and California. Me being based just outside of Abilene in a small town Merkel (population 2000). I am well aware of this. That is why each deck will stay at the $65 price range for this release. We are working class people here. As long as I can keep it there I will.

New graphic coming! Not only is this a new graphic, but it is the first full deck graphic I have ever produced. Since my last release we accumulated more manufacturing equipment that will allow us to use more modern techniques in both shaping the decks, as well as applying the graphic. This is not to say we won't use our tried and true techniques of screen printing or laser engraving ever again. This is just another weapon in the tool box. By late fall, possibly early winter I hope to have this new graphic released. I am also making 175 of them. With any luck this will mean that I won't sell out of YOUR size and shape before you get one. This run is mainly going to be popsicles (for the kids). I will be doing a small number 5-10 old school shapes that will be very limited.

One of the largest obsticals to a newer skateboard company with humble beginnings, is producing enough product at a quick enough rate that it keeps up with the market demand. I personally have not made a dime off of Psyop MFG LLC. so far because I believe in Psyop's infancy that it is important to put everything back into the company. This post is just to inform my supporters that we are moving up a few levels into our next goal which is. Full production. I wish that not only can I get Psyop into more shops but also I would like to produce boards for other companie's brands.
As we evolve one thing that I will ensure is that the quality of Psyop skateboards is not reduced. Sure, we will be trying new adhesives, finishes, and maybe even using a different mill, but this is purely to generate a better product. We must find the best raw materials!
Buying in bulk is definately the back bone of our quest to higher manufacturing abilities. The next steps will be utalizing machinery. My boards will always be pressed in house by me. I guess you can even say shaped in house as well as I will be generating the tool paths for all of the shapes as well as hand routing, and sanding. It would be silly for me not to automate some of the shaping and art if possible, in fact. I have no other choice if I want to keep Psyop running. (reduce human error to create a better product) The end goal will be for me to run Psyop full time and put everything into progressing the brand, the woodshop and over all skateboarding. I know that the boards sell out fast. In short, that is going to change. By 2024 we will have a steady supply of the most popular sizes and shapes.

Small run of 20 decks happening with a new graphic, as well as some new swag! Embroidered patches, and I am trying to source hats that are made in the USA. They may be more expensive, but at least they where made here. On a side note,
New Cartoon Series. Doesn't have much to do with skateboarding. I just remember back in the day watching Joe Cartoon, pirating on Napster, and skateboarding kickers. We need to bring that back! It will be connected to the main youtube channel as well as some time lapse videos of this batch coming up. Stay tuned for more rad shit guys! Wheels, Composites, Who knows what the future holds!
